Grow sustainably with up to 80% funding for climate-resilient projects.

SAIB AGRICULTURE GRANTS

The SAIB Agriculture Grants empower Belizean farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses to adopt sustainable, climate-resilient practices that boost productivity and market access.

Designed for smallholder farmers (0.5–20 acres), agricultural MSMEs, and groups led by women, youth, or indigenous communities, these grants fund projects like drip irrigation systems, agroforestry, soil conservation, and training in eco-friendly farming methods.

Eligible Projects

SAIB Agriculture Grants fund projects that enhance sustainability and climate resilience for crops like cocos, pepitos, vegetables (horticulture), and cattle farming.

Eligible practices include drip irrigation systems to conserve water, agroforestry (integrating trees with crops/livestock), soil conservation techniques (terracing, cover crops), and biofertilizer adoption to reduce chemical use.

For cattle, grants support drought-resistant feed systems, rainwater harvesting infrastructure, and manure management to curb emissions. Projects must align with climate-smart goals, such as improving yield stability during extreme weather or reducing environmental impact.
